1. How long will it take to obtain a Seylan Debit Card?

Seylan Debit Card is now offered over the counter as an “Instant” Card at the time you open an account.

2. What if I lose my Seylan Debit Card?

Loss of Seylan Debit cards should be reported immediately to Seylan Card Centre on 24 Hour hotline +94 11 2 008 888 and follow up with a letter. The cardholder will not be liable for any transactions performed subsequent to informing the loss of the card to the Bank.

3. Could I obtain a card from any branch?

You can obtain a card from any Branch of your preference /Convenience

4. What are the documents required if I loose my card to obtain a new card

Request letter, NIC, card application, pass book

5. How can I apply for a lost card?

You can apply a new Debit card for a Lost card from any Branch of your preference /convenience

6. What is the validity period of the Debit Card?

Debit Card gets renewed automatically after 4/5 years

7. Could I utilize my Debit card for online purchase?

In case the relevant merchant is accepting the card you can use for online purchases.

8. What is called OTP number & how can I get it activated?

  • OTP number is a 6 digit number that you will receive for your mobile number or to your e mail address when you are trying to do online transactions with VISA Verified merchants.
  • You can activate this facility to your mobile number (local) or to your e mail address by contacting our 24 hrs hotline (011-2008888)
